Antic London Announce Name of First Harlesden Pub
South East London-based pub collective Antic London mark its arrival in Harlesden with the announcement of its newest pub, Harlesden Picture Palace.
Prominently situated on Manor Park Road, this once iconic independent cinema and picture house, dating back to 1912, will be Antic’s first establishment in North West London.
Drawing upon the venue’s nostalgic charm and vagueness, the building will receive an Antic-style spruce that aims to breathe life back into this once vibrant community gemstone.
Set to open next month, Harlesden Picture Palace promises good cheer, great food, and an ease that enables one to lose an hour or six.
Spread across three main ground floor areas, the pub will offer an informal soft lounge at the front, main bar at its heart and private dining room towards the rear.
Championing locally and regionally sourced beverages, the bar will serve a selection of real ale, craft beer, fine wines and spirits. Intrepid ale lovers keep your eyes peeled for some of Antic’s very own brews fresh out of the vat from Antic’s new brewery Volden – not to be missed!
With a nod to the building’s rich cinematic heritage, the interior will be an eclectic mix of restored original features, vintage wallpapers, cozy banquette furnishings, film memorabilia and quirky trinkets.
