London’s worst cock-up in Harlesden

Old Oak Common the development in Harlesden which is planned to match the towering and vast scale of Canary Wharf has been described as the worst planning “cock-up” in 50 years.

Sir Terry Farrell, who developed the original Old Oak Common masterplan has criticised the rush to complete the Elizabeth line, saying Old Oak Common has been left way behind because of back and forth between the government, the mayor’s office, HS2 and Network Rail.

What does this mean

What this means is that the Elizabeth line which runs underneath Old Oak South which is where the thousands of new homes would be located is simply not stable enough to support such high-density development.

Old Oak South could be deprived out of the planned 3,000 homes

Instead only leaving 400 homes

Which is a whooping 90% reduction in residential.

So what locals wanna know is, Has Boris Johnson resolved the Old Oak Common ‘cock-up’?
